F*cking up the patriarchy

one orgasm at a time

Hi beautiful souls! My name is Love Atiya and my pleasure journey intentionally began when I was 16 years old when my mom bought me my first vibrator.

Her goal was simple and it was: to teach me to prioritize and explore my OWN pleasure in a safe space, without guilt or shame.

While many parents believed "boys will be boys" when they jerked off in the shower, young girls were shamed into "chastity" and were confined by their imaginary "virginities" (a patriarchal concept btw) but my mom? She wasn't having that... and so began my self pleasure exploration.

Around a decade later, I realized in addition to my passion in animal rights, I was also deeply passionate about women and our rights surrounding pleasure as a WHOLE.

What originally began as sexual exploration has now expanded beyond my wildest imagination. I became fascinated with figuring out all the ways we could feel more pleasure as a whole and was curious as to why it felt like "the powers that be" wanted to create a separation between the general public and our desires.

My passion became about more than an orgasm, and is now a part of an entire pleasure revolution and the fact that you're here shows me that you're ready to take the next step but first... let's talk about why we are NOT to blame for our internal shame regarding our bodies and relationship with pleasure.

SOCIAL MEDIA & CENSORSHIP

A lot of you have been with me since my very first viral post on TikTok where I spoke about the first time I had sex when I was 24 and all of the myths I wanted to bust about "virginities" (which are just another patriarchal construct btw) but 3.9 million of you all were very curious about my experience and the questions began rolling in!

Your questions inspired me to go so deep into the rabbit hole of pleasure education that along my journey, I learned I'd been calling my own genitals by the wrong name for TWENTY FOUR YEARS.

Why didn't I know what an actual vulva was? And that urine didn't come out of my vaginal entrance but instead out of my urethra?!

That's because when our parents and our parents' parents were taught in school the sex education lesson was simple. "Don't have sex and don't ask any questions about sex."

If they aren't teaching children about their anatomy and consent in school in 2026 then they definitely weren't keen on including this in their teachings when our elders were in school.

So I continued to learn and share the things I'd learned until... censorship entered the chat.

Censorship basically means hiding information that may inform, educate or empower others in ways that oppose the things that society was trying to enforce.

This includes social media posts about anatomy, sex education AND PLEASURE... yes PLEASURE, the thing we should be feeling in life as a whole even outside of our sexuality.

If one of my posts included the word pleasure, it would get about 5 views and that is called SHADOWBANNING. "Shadowbanning" means that the social media moderators that control what you see on your algorithm will hide certain content if it doesn't push their personal agenda or they deem it as "inappropriate".

BUT...if I talked about my trauma or pain I was experiencing, that video would reach the masses... ain't that some shit?

That's where the Oasis and my Podcast the IADGAF Podcast (formally known as the The Love Atiya Pleasure Podcast) come into play. Feel free to check out IADGAF to learn more about how I used my podcast to combat censorship.
