TOY SAFETY

WHY ARE BODY SAFE MATERIALS IMPORTANT?

Non-toxic, body-safe materials are essential for adult toy safety, ensuring sex toys meet ASTM standard requirements. After all, these products will make contact with our most sensitive areas!

Manufacturers of sex toys are supposed to adhere to the toy safety standard by using materials that do not harm the body.

Unfortunately not all companies care about compliance which can cause more harm than pleasure.

WHAT IS A BODY SAFE MATERIAL?

Silicone, glass, and metal (sterling silver) are often seen as safe choices adhering to the toy safety standard, especially for sex toys. These materials meet material safety and product safety standards.

Porous materials, such as jelly rubber, can harbor bacteria, rendering them less suitable for intimate use. Such materials are not fully sterilized, augmenting the risk of infection. Moreover, porous materials often emanate a strong synthetic odor, which may be off-putting for many users. - Peachandcream.com

IMPORTANT NOTE: Not all glass, silicone or metals are made equal but at Ethereal X we hand select carefully and considerately made products.

TOXIC MATERIALS WE'LL NEVER USE

Phthalates represent a group of chemicals employed to soften and enhance the flexibility of plastic and vinyl. They are frequently found in inferior-quality sex toys and may leach out over time, potentially giving rise to health concerns.

Exposure to phthalates has been associated with a diverse array of health issues, including cancer, hormone disruption and reproductive complications. - Peachandcream.com
