Reclaiming Pleasure After Trauma
Healing isn’t one-size-fits-all, and it definitely isn’t linear my love.
Unfortunately most of the humans we pass while walking on the street are handing, healing from or running away from some form of trauma.
Experiencing trauma, especially when it’s in a moment when you were trying to experience pleasure, can be such a jarring experience, one that can make reclaiming pleasure AFTER trauma feel daunting and overwhelming.
I’ve been there before and honestly, I am still healing and reclaiming my body and my pleasure one day at a time.
I am here to affirm that it isn’t fair, us being left to deal with trauma we didn’t ask for absolutely isn’t fair but I am also here to remind you that you are not alone and you are far from broken.
At The Ethereal Pleasure Oasis, we go slow and are here to remind you gently that it’s important to hold space for tears as much as laughter.
My goal is to help Pleasure become your gentle friend again, one step, one breath, one shimmy at a time.
How Do Journal Prompts Help?: The prompts give you a safe space to reflect, rebuild trust, and gently reintroduce pleasure into your story.
Journaling Tips:
Grab your favorite notebook and pen
Create a safe and quiet space for you to write and reflect (feel free to bring a glass of water or light a candle or maybe even both!)
For gentle healing: pick one journal prompt a day
For a deeper healing: reflect and answer 10 journal prompts one week & 10 the next (give yourself time to reflect and be sure to remain gentle with yourself)
